The Board of Christian Service works with the Director of Youth and Family Ministries and is charged with stimulating Christian living and service in our community, our nation and throughout the world. The  Board meets regularly on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. to determine the concerns of the membership of the congregation and encourage social outreach as part of our Christian responsibilities; to translate Christian Ideals into responsible Christian Social action.

Some of the BOCS's projects include the Blanket+ program, the Giving Tree, and the Blood Drive.  We oversee the Shoreline Soup Kitchen meals at our church, and the collection of food for the Food Pantry. We support the Mission Trips of the church and we oversee myriad programs that engage our members in the needs of the world at large. We make an effort to consistently tailor our outreach to current issues, including the plight of the homeless in our area, crises in our nation as a whole or ongoing health concerns of our own church members.

The Board of Christian Service has a small budget which they use to support the mission activities of the church. We support the church mission trips, supplement the Giving Tree Program and the CWS Blanket program. The Board donates to the Youth Mission Trip as well as an assortment of other local programs, such as the  Deep River Fire Dept., Camp Rising Sun, Tri Town Family Youth Services, Warm the Children and the Shoreline Soup Kitchen.
